Tomorrow I plan to park at Havant, then get the train to Fratton to watch the football. After the football, I plan to continue to Portsmouth Harbour to get something from the shops, before returning to Havant.
My predictable question is: Do I need separate tickets - can I get a "normal" ticket from Havant->Portsmouth Harbour, and treat the 3-4 hours at Fratton as a "break of journey", or will I need to purchase separate tickets for Havant->Fratton and then Fratton->Portsmouth Harbour. I plan to purchase a "Super Off Peak Return" from the ticket machine at Havant Station.
I have tried to find this out for myself, and the SWR website says this should be OK but I should review the Ts and Cs when I book - which as I plan to purchase my ticket from a machine at Havant Station does not seem particularly useful!
