Switzerland, part one

Hi!

After I spent a comfortable night in Zernez, I got up early to catch a train to Alp Grüm on the Berninaline.
I spent the following day walking lineside until Bernina Lagalb, taking some photos:

I even had some good luck, as this train was hauley by the historic units ABe 4/4 I 30 and 34 (due to loco shortage):

The works in Ospizio Bernina are carried out next to the full timetable (they have to clear the two tracks nearly each hour for crossings)

I found a nice place near Punt Muragl, where I got off to take a photo of the Bernina Express (Tirano-Davos), hauled by a Ge4/4 I:

I spent the rest of the day in Bever, because the historic Ge6/6 I 415 was scheduled to came by with a freight train from Landquart to Samedan. (again due to massive loco shortage)

It arrived only about 15 minutes late:

A great set of shots mate I love all the close up shots and also the electric in that last shot looks so great that must be pretty damn old.

The Ge6/6 I 415 was built in 1929, the other class members were built between 1921 and 1929:

Normally it's only used for charter trains and other special workings, and sometimes for freight trains to Ilanz (if they have loco shortage again). But it's very to see two Ge6/6 I operating on one day (414 was on Ilanz duties that day), and even more rare to see one of them on the Albulaline.

The Ge6/6s appeared to have a regular freight turn leaving Disentis mid-morning earlier this year (February). We didn't manage to get a photo, but will be on the RhB again next February so might try for a phot if they are still on that turn then, though the Distentis line is not the easiest for photographing at that time of the year.
