I decided to take some photos of some other RhB line on the last day of my Switzerland trip. I started with the shunt activities at 6am in Zernez:
The mail train from Landquart is arriving on time and will leave with four wagons less:
15 minutes later, the next freight train arrived to leave some goods for the local stores:
After breakfast, I found this spot:
Now I went on to Klosters Dorf:
where I found this nice spot for the following freight train:
back at the station:
Now I decided to head to the "Ruinaulta" (on the Chur-Disentis line) to take a photo of one of the freight trains to Ilanz. The one around noon is likely to be hauled by a Ge6/6 I if they are short of locos. As they had had extremely loco shortage, I expected to at Ge6/6 I again.
Glacier Epress to Zermatt:
Only 15 minutes late, the freight train came by (like I hoped, hauled by 414)
Another freight train to Disentis:
414 on it's way back to Landquart:
Another Glacier Express:
That's the last scheduled Ge4/4 I freight service on the Albula line (Thusis):
Glaier Express Zermatt-Davos, passing Tiefencastel:
Filisur:
I decided to take some photos of the famous Landwasserviaduct again. After an exhausting walk, I took those photos:
I went back to Landqaurt in the evening to take some photos of the shunt activities there:
A last glance back to the depot before my sleeper to Vienna arrives:
Again, there is a video of that day: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SfR7XHwjJoU
any comments?
