Hi all, it is first time using split ticketing on LNER and Grand Central. On my LNER from Kings Cross to Leeds I paid for a split ticket KGX-WKK WKK-LDS. On the way back I am using GC from WKK-PFM PFM-KGX.My seat reservation is different in each section of the journey so I am wondering if I have to move when I reach the split station or can I stay in the same seat.

You can sit where you want unless the seat you have been occupying for the first part of your journey has been reserved by someone else for the later part.

You can always contact the operator to change your reservations if you are concerned your second reserved seat may be reserved by another passenger.

Or you could just head for the unreserved coach, or find any other non reserved seat.

In future if you use the forum's ticket site you can manually choose your seats.

In this case better to see if your seat from Ponte is occupied.

Hi all, its’s my first time using split ticketing on LNER and Grand Central. On my LNER from Kings Cross to Leeds I payed for a split ticket KGX-WKF WKF-LDS. On the way back I am using GC from WKF-PON PON-KGX.
My seat reservation is different in each section of the journey so I am wondering if I have to move when I reach the split station or can I stay in the same seat.
Next time, I suggest using the seat selector.

The forum site has a seat selector that works with both Grand Central and LNER, as well as all other applicable operators who offer seat reservations.

It's not always possible to get the same seat, if booking close to departure and the train is very busy (there may be no through reservation available), but it generally would be.
