Cost of living certainly isn’t just something the media has made up. It’s pretty hard to argue with inflation statistics, and those on prices of specific things. I’m glad that you haven’t been hit by it but many of us are struggling a lot more than we were a year ago.

I wasn’t referring just to myself but more so life in general. From what I see working trains, socialising & shopping it’s very much business as usual. Either people are just getting more into debt these days if they don’t have the spare cash but they certainly aren’t giving up living life. Holidays whether home or abroad seem to be booming too.

With hotel rooms in Edinburgh going for around £800 a night and concert tickets at around £200, it makes me wonder about the so called "cost of living crisis"?

Meanwhile, the woeful efforts of LNWR, Avanti, TPE & Northern are so far showing only one additional service (TPE on Saturday only)

Somehow, Northern have conjured up the resources to run a 0030 Liverpool to Manchester express (amidst an ASLEF work to rule dispute) following the concert today.
Leaves Avanti and LNWR as the inflexible outliers.
