Swans currently run the 200 Wilmslow-Manchester Airport service and used to run the 289 Altrincham-Knutsford-Northwich service. These services are quite a distance from Chadderton so do/did Swans have some where more local to store buses?

Swans had sometimes used a bus leased from Mistral on the 289 route, with Mistral being based just off the route so it would be a bit bizarre if they were sending that bus down from Chadderton every day!

Apparently, Vale of Llangollen will be taking it over shortly - they are based in Wrexham!

Chadderton isn't too bad; Bluebird of Middleton operate a tendered service to the airport as well, which probably involves similar dead mileage as Swans for the 200.

Don't understand why GHA keep adding new routes as Vale of Llangollen services and then claiming they are separate operators. Some one posted a question about a Vale of Llangollen service on the GHA Facebook page (route 88) and they said 'nothing to do with us.' This is despite:
1. GHA branded DARTs appearing on the route when one of the 'Connect 88' livered vehicles is unavailable without having 'on hire to' notices.
2. One of the 3 livered 'Connect 88' vehicles being used on GHA operated services such as RR3 in the off-peak period.

GHA took over the 289 from Swans earlier this year. GHA initially used a Solo on the route (Swans had used a Enviro 200 in the latter days of operating the service) but that proved to be too small for some services so they've upgraded to a DART.

Was not this similar to the Tyrer Bus operation of the alphabetically signed Hebden Bridge town services, in terms of distance from the home depot ?
