SVR Steam Gala

I have started a March 2009 collection which consosts of pretty much just this weekends event, pop over here to see them.

It was really hard to pick favourites due to the sun playing games all weekend, but here are a couple to whet your appetite:

Thanks for all of the comments, it was probably my most successful gala weekend photo wise. I like the reflection section lots too, obviously I have boosted the reflection due to how much darker it is compared to the scene above, but it isn't without it's difficulties. To get the high angle above the water to provide more reflection required me to clamber up and stand on the water pipe bridge seen in the shot below. I'm an old hand at it now, but with age it becomes harder to do of course.

Almost snap, absolutely right, we've just got a different bloke at the front window! Well taken, just observational looks like a braved for a slightly slower shutter speed though.

Yeah, yours is definately slower, I took mine on 1/60 of a second. If I'd have stuck around for more Manor or tender first workings I could have had another go.

For my first attempt I'm pleased

Really nice fots Matt, especially like the shots of 71000 & 70013 on Eardington bank. Bit of a shame about your phone though!!!
