Hello all I thought I would start a thread for this event, probably now THE diesel Gala of the season, I'm hearing lots of rumours about what's going but the final list of visitors seams some way off. The theme they are going for is a GM theme because of the anniversary of the 59 introduction, anyway visitors so far confirmed according to the BLS are D7018, 55009, WCRC 57/0, 59, FL 66, and DB 67, I'm sure there is more to add but I don't know when

Presumably to heat some coaches?
Yeah it's probably going to do what 37409 did a few years ago, act as the kiddy end of the air braked set and swap the FOC visitors the other end of the rake

47712 did the same a couple of years ago, with various class 56/57/60/88 on the other end

Vintage trains is running a tour from Birmingham Snow Hill to Kidderminster using 37240 on the 17th
It's the positioning move for their Shakespeare Express on the 17th. Rather than the usual Birmingham Snow Hill to Stratford upon Avon, it's starting at Worcester Shrub Hill.
This does provide the opportunity to get to Kidderminster ca. 40 mins earlier than what is possible with WMR from Snow Hill on a Sunday.

57604 added to the lineup.

Bo'ness on Saturday looks like it would be busy regardless of what turns up in Kidderminster. I would assume that those looking to do both are likely to do a different day on the Severn Valley.

That said, not everyone who can get to Kidderminster can easily justify or desire a trip to Bo'ness, and some people aren't attending events just for new traction. The Severn Valley are advertising 17 locomotives, just not ones under 20 years old.

Timetable with loco allocations expected Friday, there's been some rejigging apparently.
Six days to go and no allocations although the ‘AB’ trains offer helpful clues for veg magnet avoidance.

Down to the wire again.
