Hi all,

Trying to work out the best fare for doing this journey tomorrow. thinking a 1-day travelcard and then boundary zone 6 fares, but want to double check.

Travelling on the 0727 from Sutton [SUO] to Guildford [GLD] (only direct train so have to get this)

Will then need to get to Euston for 6pm so am looking at the 1634 from Guildford to Waterloo, and then tube over.

I'm thinking either peak one day travelcard and singles from zone 6 to guildford and back, or buy a direct ticket for the morning journey and a ticket to euston that includes tube.

don't have any travelcards or concessions.

Are you returning to Sutton from Euston in the evening? Also, do you have an Oystercard?

i do have an oyster card but i won't be returning to sutton in the evening.

i was going to give it to my partner so she could get to work but i think it's easiest to just do boundary zone 6 anytime return to guildford as it has an annual season ticket on it.

how do i specify boundary zone 6 when buying online?

Giving or lending oyster cards that have annual season tickets on to other people is fare evasion, and if caught, the consequences can be quite severe.

If you already have a zone 1-6 season, then you would just need a boundary zone 6 - Guildford return (13.20). Unfortunately you can't order these tickets online so it would need to be purchased from the ticket office at Sutton before you travel.

If Sutton is a Southern station (I think it is) then the ticket machine should also be able to sell boundary zone tickets.
