Hi Guys,

Over the past little while, there's been a bit in the media about this Susan Boyle woman and unfortunately they show the talent show on our TV (we have or had our own version) so I've had to seek youtube for help and after seeing her perform I thought she was alright but not sure why she has been so popular in the media though.

What are your thoughts on her? Do you think she should have won? Do you think she is worth all the media attention? And if she were to perform live would you go and see her?

I think she's a nice lady but she has sense of oddness to her though, and I say good on her for creating a buzz with the media and I would go see her if she came out here.

I thought she was a really good singer and I'm sort of split over it. On one hand there are enough TV shows for singers, but that's mainly for pop music, but I did think she was a very good singer - I didn't see her come on stage when everyone was smirking in the audience, all I heard was her singing so it was never a "surprise" to me like it would have been for many.

She's good. But she's not that good. She probably wouldn't have got to the final if she had looked better, because the contrast was what really wowed people on the auditions. I think the best group won on the night.

it would appear that appearing in 'Britain's (not) got talent' has had an unfortunate affect on Susan's metal state. Not that the production company care, any publicity is good in there eyes, parasites

I feel I am not alone when I say:

who?

That was exactly my thought! Bearing in mind 18.5 million people watched it and the UK population is over 60 million, it shows over two-thirds of us werent interested enough to tune in, or had better things to do with our time/lives!

That wouldn't include people from overseas that saw snipits on youtube. She got all the news headlines here and in many places around the world.

But now that everything has peaked for her or at least at the start of something big, I do feel for her health now, how so many people in lime light cope with it all beats me, but good on her for giving it a shot and showing that you don't have to be as thin as a rake tall and blond and to be famous all around the world.

I hope that people see has an inspiration to others who think they won't amount to anything or a too afraid of what people might think, she has shown us that anyone can be famous and that you can be liked regardless of your age and appearance. To that I applaud her.

I wouldnt say we are misserable i am sure a lot of us are just sick and tired of all the stupid shows being shown on the telly. My personal hate is big brother, i just wish they would take that rubbish off.

Anyway i think watching all these goings on in parliament are more entertaining

I have not watched Big Brother for about 5 series now because the people in the house are not entertaining. I won't be watching Big Brother this series that is for sure.
