Surviving Network Southeast Interiors

Hi guys!

Was photographing slightly out of my usual area yesterday and travelled from Harrow to Euston on a London Midland class 321. When boarding, I noticed, and quite liked the fact, that, with the exception of the route map and safety posters, the interior was very similar to what I remember NSE class 455s were like from my childhood in the early '90s. It got me wondering if they are still NSE interiors.

If they are, does anyone know of any other surviving NSE or BR Sectorisation interiors, as these would be the only ones I've come across?

The best were probably the Lymington CIG‘s. Pure NSE nostalgia (and nicely well kept - as if they‘d just slipped out of their Eastleigh refurb, as opposed to having been decaying with Connex for ten years). Easy the cursed march of modernity did away with them in 2008.

I suspect some of the 'PEP' units in use around London (313s 315s) may be very similar - apart from new seat coverings. I know some 313s now have high-back seats, but I don't think all do.

The FCC 365s are the same but for a seat cover, a carpet and eleventy new types of warning label.

Oddly, the new colours (blues) are more NSE than the old ones (red/green).

Of course, they're off to get their noisy-screen overhaul soon, so who knows what they'll turn out like.

First Cap. Connect has a few 313s ex London Overground with the original NSE interior all they have done is change the upholstery possibly the flooring

Same goes for ex Southern 319/0s which look VERY shabby inside but it is understandable little will be done with them given new trains are on there way
