The surfin bird song is my favourite song (as you can tell from my avatar), but I just want to see how many people like the song. For those of you who havnt listened to the song before I would recomend clicking the youtube link at the bottom of this sentence.

First heard the song on some veitnam related thing, prehaps call this "Music Thread" so others can post stuff (not just what they are listening to)

Ive started listening to USSR rock latley, banks like Auktion, Televizor, Aria and Sektor Gaza

I usually listen to stuff like, Judas Priest, ACDC, Motorhead, Iron Maden, Rush and so on

I actualy quite like it.

The Family Guy version makes me laugh everytime of course!

I like it in Full Metal Jacket too, tbh I don't think there could be a more fitting song for that part of the film

The point of the surfin bird song in the film is to make a contrast between the silly song and the stark reality of war
