I buy eggs from someone I know - they own a small farm and have hens normally wandering around.
Currently (or at least, the last time I bought some) , as a result of Avian Flu, poultry must be kept inside.
However, the supermarkets are selling 'free range eggs' as well as 'barn eggs' - the former, of course, at a higher price.
Makes you wonder what 'free range' means in supermarket-speak...
