Super Off Peak Validity

I am planning on doing a trip from Honiton or Axminster to Southampton Central then back to Honiton.
Out on a Friday back on the following Sunday.

I want to travel around midday.

I note that the super off peak is not valid to use on a train leaving Honiton before 1201.

Can I buy the super off peak ticket HON - SOU together with a separate single Honiton to Axminster to travel on the 1155 as a super off peak is valid from Axminster?
A super off peak from either station is the same price.

I realise I am only saving a small amount.

TIA

Yes, that would be valid - the restriction is not worded (as some are) based on the time the train departs its origin or the station printed on the ticket. It is simply based on "trains timed to depart", which by implication is based on where you board it.

Having an additional (presumably Off-Peak/Anytime) single proves that you are not using the Super Off-Peak ticket from Honiton but only from Axminster.

Looking at the Forum's ticketing site, there's a decent saving to be made even for tomorrow's date. Advance Single Honiton on the 11.55 to Salisbury and an Evening Out Single on the 13.33 Salisbury to Southampton. Just realise I'm assuming pricing a single journey. Presumably you super off-peak would be a return?
