Tickets are generally valid until 02:30 on the date after the date stated on the ticket. So a ticket valid from 07 June 2011 to 06 July 2011, can be used for departures up to 02:30 on 07 June 2011. In some cases there are easements that permit a later train, where such trains exist.

The journey can be broken overnight on the final night of validity, where this happens it must be resumed by 12:00 (that is, assuming the ticket is definitely a Super Off Peak Return, ie code SSR/OPR; it's different for a Day ticket, which must be completed by 12:00).
