Hi all,
I recently found a nice and cheap fare which is perfectly for me to do a bit of localised cranking, however I'm having a problem finding trains it's valid for!
The fare in question is a Hereford to Moreton-in-Marsh Super Off Peak Day Return. As far as I'm aware, this should be valid around lunchtime on weekdays and valid all day on weekends. Certainly appears to be valid as I suspect on weekends, but I had been hoping to get one of these tomorrow for a nice and cheap afternoon out.
However, having looked this evening on NXEC's Mixing Deck I find that the first train it's valid on for tomorrow is the 1950 off Hereford! Very odd that sounds to me. Seems to be valid earlier coming back though.
I only found this fare by accident last Friday night when randomly looking it up to get into position for an Oxfordshire Day Ranger. You can imagine my surprise when I saw the fare! Decided to book it online early Saturday morning to pick up from Hereford as I doubted the ticket machine would have it. Surprise, surprise, when I looked at 0825 last Saturday morning I saw no sign of it.
So I guess my question is: Where do I find the validity times for this fare? Indeed, for any Super Off Peak Day Return? I'm thinking of getting a LM Only SOPR from Birmingham to London next week, but I'd like to be sure what times I'm valid on with such a fare. If there's somewhere where I can check, or if someone can find out for me (both of the Super Off Peak fares mentioned here if possible, if not just the Hereford one), that would be extremely appreciated.
All help gratefully received.
Kind regards,
