Quick question. I have a Super-Off-Peak Return from West Cowes to London, going today, coming back tomorrow.
It's obviously Super Off Peak with restriction code BD (nre.co.uk/bd)

Am I right that the only restriction that affects me on the outward leg is that I cannot arrive in London BEFORE 14:01 ?
But I can use any train that arrives AFTER that?

Even if my train ARRIVES slap bang in the middle of peak commuter time?

@TheConfusedMan. One other potential restriction is that you can't use XC services (for example, on the section of line between Southampton Central and Basingstoke) until after 1300. Likely though that you'll be making the journey to London Waterloo using a semi-fast SWR train. And arrival into London at or after 1401 (i.e. mid afternoon) is perhaps in the opposite direction of what, these days, might be considered "peak commuter time".

Probably not relevant, but when we get a super off peak travel card from Horsham to London, there is a limitation on what time we can return. I think (warning) we couldn't leave until after 19:15 or thereabouts.

Not relevant because that is a day ticket with a different restriction code.

I have another question that occurred to me after two recent trips:

A Super Off-Peak Return from Liverpool Street to Cambridge (52m 47ch) is £18.90, but a Super Off-Peak Return from Ilford to Witham (31m 19ch) is £22.10!
