Super Off Peak Return Tile Hill to Euston

Why will the forum ticketing site not sell me an LNWR only super off peak for the 1558 from Tile Hill changing at Rugby?


The restriction code LG:

Not valid for travel on services timed to arrive London Terminals before 13:00.

Not valid for travel on northbound services timed to depart any station before 10:30.

Not valid for travel on services timed to depart the origin station on the ticket after 15:59 and before 19:01 in either direction.

A connecting service can be used to complete a journey begun at a valid time.

The last line seems to suggest this itinerary should be valid.

Because you can't implement the latter in the journey planner/electronic restrictions software without having a separate restriction code for each station pair. It's been an issue for 20 odd years now.

The ticket is valid and the staff know it is, just buy it selecting a different service or from a non-planner TVM.

This has been a problem for nearly 20 years now. It's not possible to implement "A connecting service can be used to complete a journey begun at a valid time". The code needs splitting into a load of separate ones, one for each origin station, but LM were too lazy and WMT are too, particularly while it's causing them to overcharge people.

You can simply select a later/different train where the Super Off-Peak Return is offered, and then travel on the itinerary you want.
