So Around 10pm on NYE Sunderland station had to close due to 'extensive flooding' caused by rain. The station is being redeveloped. My question is why isnt there some kind of temporary roof in place. This caused major problems due to lack of alternative travel options. Meaning metro being suspended East Boldon to South Hylton (already suspended Park lane to South Hylton) due to another issue.
Other than that an unusual occurrence Northern trains stopping at St Peters Metro Station and Grand Central Terminating there.
