Sunday Services from Leicester

Has Leicester always had a bad Sunday service?

The reason I ask is that the first train north is at 1020, and shortly after for Birmingham.

I know there's engineering work this weekend between Leicester and Bedford meaning rail replacement buses but are there usually services south earlier than 1020?

East Midlands Trains and CrossCountry seem to be missing on a large market by not having earlier services as coaches are busy north.

But you're right the Sunday service is crap!

I'm sure 1020 is normally the first Northbound on Sundays and 1022 the first to Birmingham.

Yes you're right, I was thinking of southbound services

The first Birmingham was 1122 for many years (and full and standing week in week out even with 4 coaches)
