Yes, agreed. I heard this week that someone I knew slightly had jumped in front of a train. He lived alone.

More needs to be done to prevent suicides.
I think the popular language used isn't helpful.
When someone's own cells turn cancerous and kills someone, the cancer killed them.
When someone has a disease like chronic depression, they killed themselves.
I find it very hypocritical, also we always say "committed suicide" from the days when suicide was a crime, none of this helps the relatives of those who died from mental torment, and it makes those struggling feel guilty for thinking things that they can't help, this makes telling people what you are going through impossible as family would just say "don't be stupid / silly".

People need to be open minded and understanding whenever they see a friend isn't all there.
