Does anyone know what happened at the Sudbury crash? Some reports say the gate is locked or imply that the signaller controls the gate. I assume it is a Pacer. Does anyone know?

In short though: crossing requires lorry drivers to phone signaller for permission, though no locks on gates. Lorry driver did not phone. Unit involved was a 156 (no Pacers in south east). Go to other thread for more details/discussion.
