Success 2nd time around.

Just posting that I had my DMI with SE at Grove Park last week and today received the brilliant news that I had been successful with a start date in February, now just to get through the medical. Just like to thank everyone for their advice on this thread and on the forum as a whole.
The interview was 2hrs long but relaxed and friendly (for anyone worried about the DMI).

Brilliant news, well done, I too got through after a series of knock backs! Just shows what a "can do" attitude can do. Well done for not giving up.

Pleased to say that I've got a conditional for SE at GP in Feb 2017. Was my 5th DMI. So don't give up!

Of course medical, drugs test and references pending but I'm fairly confident I'll pass those.

Just a quick question, I attended my medical for SE yesterday and all went well according to the DR and nurse who did it and just waiting for drug/alcohol test which I am not really worried about as don't drink a lot and don't do drugs prescribed or not. My only worry is that I have logged onto the SE HR website and seen that my application is withdrawn after being in the offer stage only last week, is this a thing that happens, is it an error as it is only a day after the medical and they won't have the results yet, any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Contacted HR and it was an error, then got the good news that I start as a trainee driver on Feb 13th I can't wait. A big thank you to all the advice given on this forum.
I have had highs and lows but as people kept saying keep plugging away and that is exactly what I did. I realise I have been really lucky to get to this position in a relatively short time (Jan 2016 started application process)
I applied to 3 different TOC's. First one I didn't get through the application process, second one got as far as DMI but failed that, third one learnt my lesson from the failure and successfully got the job offer.
My best advice is to remain calm and patient through every part of the application process and be prepared for some downs but not to let your head go down too much and then kick on again. I wish everyone applying good luck.
