Notice at station says no trains only buses due to emergency engineering works between Jesenice and Ljubluana. Very sparse bus replacement timetable. BUT an unscheduled train with pax aboard just departed for Jesenice. Is there a real time type app for Slovenia? Thanks.
PS station unstaffed and no departure boards in operation.

In train now bound for Kranz then bus to Ljubluana apparently. It's remarkably empty but then it's not scheduled to run till 1320 as a bus!!!!

There are worse places to be stuck than Bled Lesce.

Last time I was there they played "White Room" by Cream over the tannoy system (using local radio, I think).

Kranj has access to more pubs though :) Srecno!

Yes Kranj looked nice, we took a bus from there to Ljubluana. Hats off to Slovenian Railways, despite the bus not really running to any timetable the conductor travelled with us and checked each station for intending passengers.

Pity they don't play more 60s rock here, mostly it seems stuck in an 80s Europop time-warp!

Yes. You don't see much of Kranj from the railway side though. In winter, when it's snowed, the route around there can be magical if the sun is shining.

You must have been locked on a dodgy station, methinks :)

Here's my fav Slovenian rocker - this is from the 80s though

He's more mellow today.

Sounds a lot better than what we're hearing today in Ljubluana!! There is some sort of bike/running race taking place with 100db Europop blasting across the capital......
