This is a thread for people who want to ask about Stuarts bus services

IE is new 44 route starting on 13 April going to be a commercial route or not ps I personally regard fuel rebate route as being commercial

Yes, it would be commercial. SPT are not paying them to go from their depot to the contract start point.

Obviously it is a fuel rebate route, they've had the Croy contract services since last year, along with the MyBus.

Stuarts is a interesting company half of there routes are like 1 a day and the rest aren't really what you would call very busy except maybe 240/241X

The route would be eligible for BSOG in its entirety, it is just that the BSOG for tendered part of the route will go to SPT.

Cheeky, but clever given they wouldn't get the BSOG on the dead trip to/from depot.

The 44 is depot/placing journeys for the 111,344,348 & 349. The 111 was rerouted at the start of February to operate through Whinhall & Burnfoot to replace part of the Harry O Coaches route which was withdrawn, quite how the 111 has remained commercial is strange as it is never a busy service but has a lot of concession card use.
