My wife and I have advance tickets purchased through lner. 2nd class on northern hudds/ EMR sheffield / -st pancras Saturday 2nd Sept which may well be strike affected. We are attending a gala dinner and have to be there on time, so catching a later train isn't possible.
We return the following evening 1st class advance via grand central kgx brighouse / northern hudds.
How likely is my journey being affected?
Can I cancel both the outward and return advance tickets (and is there a penalty for cancelling) and go by car?
Help would be much appreciated!
