Don't get too excited, there's only one town live so far; Oberstaufen in Bavaria.
At least it allows us to see that generally, we aren't quite as bad as some when it comes to grass on the tracks...

Expect to see the forest having opted itself out of the service...

Divided on this one; as much as I'd like to see Germany included (partly for the same reasons), on the other hand having Google on the ropes by not being able to utilize the service's commercial prospects, such as advertising, is also nice. The data collection-gate hasn't helped them either.

But they have nevertheless expected to launch a street map service of at least several of the cities in November, perhaps by the end of the year. Just don't be evil. <D

It would be good of them to give a date of the streetview images . The Glasgow streetview appears to be summer of 2008 . I was looking at satelite imagery of Ayrshire and the imagery date Jan 1ST 1999 and it was obv not with trees in full leaf . I think Poland is being streetviewed and Greece:p !
