Hi,

Was going from Tottenham Hale to Bishops Stortford today. Problems with the overhead wires meant many services were cancelled out of Liverpool Street to Cambridge...

I just missed the 11.22 stansted express service. Checked on my phone and it suggested the next service was the 11.37 to bishops stortford.

Got on the train and noticed on the WiFi that it wasn't stopping at Bishops Stortford, so had to get off at Harlow Town. Bizarrely, refreshed the train time app and the stop had vanished from there. The 12.02 from Harlow Town to Cambridge (stopping at Stortford) was then cancelled, meaning I had to get a taxi otherwise I'd never make my meeting.

I am 1000000% sure the app said that it stopped at Stortford and I definitely recall after hitting the refresh button that the stop vanished. It obviously doesn't stop there normally.

a) how on earth is it possible that it said it did stop

and

b) do I have a case for delay repay?

Well I can confirm that the 11:37 didn't stop at Bishop's Stortford, so it's a good thing that you did get off! No idea why it would have said it would though.

Unfortunately if you had continued to wait at Harlow Town, the train after the cancelled 12:01 service was the 12:11 service to Bishop's Stortford, which ran on time and would have only made you 9 minutes late, if you had caught it, so no delay repay can be given unfortunately :(
