Location
A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
Not sure if this warrants a new thread, but does anyone know when this service was introduced:

http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/S59711/2014/11/22/advanced

It doesnt seem to be in Northerns present or future timetable. Please help.

It states that this only runs on the 22nd November 2014, so would only be part of the current Manchester - Atherton - Wigan Wallgate timetabled service as a footnote, stating that it only runs on that particular date with the use of Wigan North Western as its terminal point.

Thanks I didn't notice that. It would make sense to add extra services.

They have done that on the Marple to Manchester line on Sundays as in winter it is still an abysmal every 2 hours. However they failed to put any notices up and put it on their website it would appear. I only found out about them on NR planner. Even Northern Rail live twitter seemed to have no idea till they looked it up. They were plenty of trains but no one knew about them. The Marple website had a strange response front Northen Rail re lack of info, no idea though why they kept them so quiet.

The crazy think is I live at Hadfield that used to have no winter Sunday service back in the early 90's but now has a very well used every 30 mins on Sundays.
