Stowmarket to Windermere

Hi guys

Looking to get away with one's wife to Windermere between
Thursday 18th September returning Sunday 21st

Cheapest I can do without splitting and railcards is around £274 (£346 First class) This is via London Liverpool St and Euston

Doing the obvious split (Stowmarket to LST and Euston to Windermere) I can get it down to :-

SMK to LST Return - £52 (£90 First) 11.29 off Stowmarket, 19:30 off Liverpool st

Euston to Windermere Return :- £172 (£256 First) [13:30 off Euston] [14:47 off Winderemere]

So by splitting at London I can save £24 (pointless as the tube would cost me that I guess!

any ideas? Either better splitting or going another route?

Any help gratefully received.
