The effects of Storm Herminia are now starting to be felt as there are reports of flooding and trees blocking the railway across various part of the country. The South West of the country is the first to take the brunt of the storm.
Strong winds and further heavy and perhaps torrential rain is due this evening and overnight, for a large part of the country.
Flooding has shut the line between Par and Newquay since this morning.
Severe flooding has blocked the line between Crediton and Barnstaple.
Flooding between Taunton and Castle Cary.
