I’m travelling from Newcastle to London and because of engineering works had to change trains at Peterborough and again at Cambridge.

The second part of my split ticket is an advance single from Elsenham to Liverpool Street.

I need to catch the Victoria Line thereafter and realise it will be quicker to get off at Tottenham Hale. Is this allowed? (I realise it’s stopping short by one stop)

Many thanks if anyone can clarify.

Although starting/finishing short with an Advance ticket is not strictly in accordance with the rules for Advance tickets, the policy of the Rail industry is that no additional fare should be charged (unless there is clear evidence of intent to try and avoid a higher fare).
