Just saw the report from the BBC which claims that Network Rail is to blame for not alerting the driver of the danger or to reduce his speed. Network Rail is also accused of failure in construction, inspection and maintenance of drainage assets between May 2011 and August 2020 on the railway line near Carmont.

Welcome to the forum.

It wasn't just the BBC "claiming that Network Rail is to blame". The report included a clip of a lawyer pleading guilty on NR's behalf.
