Stoke First Class Lounge has closed down

Just checking on Virgin's site opening hours, and selected Stoke from the drop-down, and it says "this station does not have a 1st class lounge" despite it still being in the list. What a shame! It was a lovely quiet, serene lounge like many of them, not surprised they have closed it really it was always empty or nearly empty! Hope it doesn't set a precedent for others to close though!

Edit: Just checked again, lots have closed, all that's left now are Man Picc, Euston, Birmingham New St + Liverpool :( Can't believe it! Glad I did the grand tour of midlands lounges in Feb!

This is probably some very strange April fools joke (Virgin have actually amended their website!). Virgin don't even have ultimate control of the Crewe lounge so can't close it without consulting other stakeholders (whom I am sure would protest in earnest at any closure proposal).

Oh that's good I see they are back on now. They were all off though, so must have been some fault on the site - very strange. I thought the same about the Crewe lounge so did think it very odd. Great that the Stoke lounge opens until 9, always find it weird + annoying Manchester shuts at 7:30 most days!

I wouldn't think they would ever close the first class lounge at Stoke-on-Trent, it always seems very well used whenever I have seen it.
