I was sitting in the Wetherspoons at One Stop in Perry Barr, directly opposite the station, with a group of friends this evening. At 5 to 9, I felt a train rumble past, which doesn't happen with the usual 323s, and turned around to see a thick plume of steam passing through the station in the direction of Aston station and Birmingham.
At the time, I assumed that it was a steam railtour on its' way back from somewhere, seeing as it's a weekend, but upon checking the "Steam Railtours" listing website nothing presented itself as being obvious in the West Midlands at all this weekend.
So I'm curious: Does anybody know what steam railtour or light engine move would be passing through Perry Barr station at around 9pm this Sunday night?
Thanks in advance.
