Steam through Romsey

Mate of mine livers in Romsey and says he heard a steam whistle at the weekend. He thinks it was sunday (26th July) but he might be wrong. Anyone know what it was he heard? I can't find any tours or stock moves that were around there then.

Could've been a traction engine or something?

There was a tour through Romsey in the early morning and late evening on the Saturday, but this was with a (much better) Class 67.

That'd be the Towy Tornado I presume?

Thankfully Frothado was kept off Southern metals, for this trip anyway.

Just spoken to him, he says he wasn't hearing things, he lives 500 yards from the track and he heard it on the level crossing. It was around 1300, maybe a little later on sunday the 26th.
This is a real quandary!
