I have long enjoyed these websites:

8dassociation.org
8erailwayassociation.org.uk
Prestonstation.org.uk
These sites are based around the sheds at Widnes, Northwich and Lostock Hall.

Are there any other sites reflecting other sheds?

This one is based around Llandudno Junction and is an interesting read:

And this one covers spotters notes for many sheds in England

Thank you, I'll look later. Shedbash is an absolute gem!

I can't think how I forgot about the 6G site - I've used it for years and it's one of the best.

Brilliant - thank you.
There seems to have been tremendous cameraderie on the Southern coming through that website. They used to have dinner reunions too, at least when I last looked - which was probably two years ago or so. I love the home page photo - nothing glamorous, just a worn out light Bulleid rebuild. It tells a story.

This covers more than just 34F / 35B Grantham shed.
In our pages you will find links to other resources on the Internet, and references to our suggestions for further reading in books and periodicals. The Grantham Journal, the town's newspaper, was inaugurated in 1854 and is a marvellous resource for information about railway life in the earlier years. During the 20th century a remarkable number of people recorded and documented the railway scene at Grantham – its trains and locomotives, its tracks and buildings and, most engagingly, the stories of railway people and their families. Authors and photographers have left us a rich legacy in words and pictures which breathe life into railway history.
