Steam Railcar in Switzerland.

Hi. I wonder if any of you can help me. I was driving through Brugg in Switzerland last Sunday when I saw a steam railcar chugging up and down near the station. I could not stop so I was wondering if anyone has any info on this.

Jon, you'll be kicking yourself for not stopping over and enjoying this festival. It was one of the events which SBB Historic is organising for its 10th anniversary. The Bahnpark Brugg had an open day. The steam railcar you saw, No 31 CZm 1/2 Uerikon - Bauma Bahn, was running trips to Wildegg and back. Some of the other attractions were:

- the "Limmat" with the Spanish Brötli-Bahn train (replica of the first Swiss train)
- Mikado 141R 1244, a resident of the Bahnpark which is back in service this year after a major overhaul.
- SBB Historic's trio of steam locos A3/5 705, B3/4 1367 and Eb3/5 5819.
