Scotland does well for steam this year, with all the major routes covered.

Sun 17 April - Edinburgh to Aberdeen 60007
Aberdeen to Inverness double-headed Black Fives 44871+45407

Mon 18 April - Inverness to Wick + return two Black Fives

Tue 19 April - 61994 from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh and back

Wed 20 April - the two Black Fives from Inverness to Glasgow Central

Sat 24 April - 60007 Forth Circle

Sat 7 May - Carlisle to Stirling 70000 (originates York via Settle)

Sun 8 May - Stirling to Fort William K4 61994 + K1 62005 double-headed

Mon 9 May - Fort William - Mallaig (traction TBA, hopefully includes K4!)

Tue 10 May - Fort William - Glasgow K4 (possibly double-headed with K1)

Thur 14 July - Edinburgh - Mallaig "Hogwarts Express" ??? what is this? (day
before release of final Harry Potter)

Sat 10 Sep - Glasgow QS - Fort William double-headed two Black Fives

Sun 11 Sep - Fort William - Oban - Glasgow QS two Black Fives

Plus there's the empty coaching stock run from Carnforth to Fort William, usually a few days before the Jacobite season starts, and southbound after the season ends. Can produce a double-header + load 9 over the West Highland.

And not forgetting the Jacobite, Fort William to Mallaig, mid-May to end October.

Guess this might not happen again for a while, especially with RTC saying it may be the last Great Britain. Also Oban is rare one, good to see it there. Plus it will be interesting to see if Whestrail is successful in running any steamers.
