61994 The Great Marquess should be on the Kyle line on 19/4/11, I'm either going to be behind it or next to it at the lineside!

And steam returns to Oban on 11/9/11 - didn't think that would happen so soon but it looks as though the tour is being double-headed this time. Can't wait!

another couple of locos I forget to mention that hasn't got a tour allocated to it yet are Sir Lamiel 30777, Alderman E. Draper 43505 and also, Royal Scot 46100 was due to come back into service next year but she got pulled from her leg on The Great Britain IV

Nothing wrong with kettles, had plenty of good thrash from them! The event in Germany last Easter was particularly good (not forgetting the guest appearance of a NOHAB). Next year I hope to have a spin in Ireland with 4 and 186. In the UK I'd like a proper Southern trip behind 34046 (as it's a 'red pen'!) and on preserved railways the SVR looks like a good event, with 6023 (in blue) and 828 (from Strathspey) advertised as visitors already.

Sunday 2nd January

Belfast to Dublin & return.

What is expected to be No.4's last trip before withdrawal for overhaul is
filling up very quickly (two-thirds filled).

In fact I have just checked the RPSI website and the train is now shown "sold out". Next loco to be returned to traffic is 461 , though I would not like to speculate whether it will be in time for the "International Railtour" in May.

I am intending to go on this regardless as it is doing some required track (IE have been busy since I last went over there!)

Just some info - This trip will not include 5029.

Advice is - Just don't rely on website info that is not from the loco concerned really!

I am looking forward to seeing a lot of mainline steam in 2011 especially with the return of 60007 which has to be the most fantastic coloured steam locomotive out there, and i'm also going to be looking out for 4472 (suppose, if it gets fixed that is!) and 70000 britannia.
