Hi all

Does anyone know what happened re tour 71517, Thursday 29 November 2012, London to Bath Christmas Market?

A colleague was on this with full dining but didnt receive his expected dinner on the return leg. There was no communication to warn of the problem which was apparantly due to oven issues

Others were offered a dessert when they hadnt had their main ....

Any news appreciated

We were travelling in Standard Class without catering on the same service and they did make a tannoy announcement towards the end of the run apologising about some sort of catering cock-up. But as we hadn't booked dinner anyway I'm afraid we didn't pay much attention.
The train generally seemed to have a few issues after Reading, struggling on damp rail on the climb up to Dorking and then setting off the TPWS overspeed on the descent. (A train attendant said he reckoned it was a false alarm). That then restricted us to 20mph as far as Redhill - all of which made us 45 late at East Croydon.
But at least there was free coffee and mince pie! A much better experience than the RTC tour we took last summer.
