According to
Wikipedia, Beamish Open Air Museum no longer operates regular services on its railway line because of a lack of working locomotives. Does anyone know if this is still the case?
Are there any standard gauge locos or stock on display there? I can't find any kind of stock list for the standard gauge line, only for the waggonway.

I'm not an employee or anything to do with beamish just someone who takes an interest in beamish.
Steam Finished in 1994 due to No 14 (LHJC 14) Boiler Certificate expiring, as the J21 ceased running in the mid 80's due to boiler cert and other issues, Coffee pot No 1 in about 1990, and lewin in about 1980, at the time (mid 90's) the museum didn't have the finance or the facilities to undertake engine overhauls as the locos they had came straight of ex BR service (j21) or industrial use so basically their remaining working life was used up,
Steam recommenced in 2006 as paul jarman brought in WST to run some weekends at the station doing shunting displays as the running line wasn't suitable for passenger running, but in 2009 the running line was relaid to enable the passenger service to recommence, using hired locos, but it is costly to hire locos in all the time, that's why beamish bought dunrobin and Newcastle so they can run steam on a regular basis, the running line used to go beyond the town to the colliery but the railway inspectorate wouldn't allow passenger trains beyond the present limit of running, and so didn't fulfil its purpose, so the tramway was put in it's place and the line severed which is a shame really, hopefully they will extend the station line to pockerley.
