Visited Chathill station yesterday, to find there was not any seating provided, even the small waiting room was lock off. What other station are not passenger focused on looking after passengers.

I'd invert the question - Which stations are focussed on looking after the passengers?

Comparing train stations to equivalently sized bus stations, airports and even simple bus stops provides quite a useful benchmark, often not particularly favourable to the railways.

Carstairs I don't think has any seats other than in the ticket office I presume, and the ticket office has short hours meaning nobody can go in to sit in there when it's closed? Whilst Carstairs has barely any services, they should really at least put a bench or two. From a spotters perspective it's kinda lackluster :D

Bordesley has no seats as far as I can see. If it does it has more seats than booked services.

There seems to be a problem that when smaller stations get platform extensions, they often don't put any benches on the extended bit, so the original section of platform has seating but then there's huge stretch without any. Stonehouse is a good example but I imagine it's happened elsewhere as well.

My local station (Willington) has seats and a shelter. But the shelter has no seats, and the seats have no shelter.

A couple of the Plymouth suburban stations had no seating. Well they did but the shelters were all smashed up and the perch bar seat had been ripped off leading just the holes it was bolted to.

Guess Network Rail won't be in any rush to replace/repair the shelter if it gets treated like that

Little Sutton is the same

I don't think there are any seats at all at Overpool
