I was at West Croydon yesterday and the only bay platform is now P1 (also confirmed on National Rail Enquiries there are only P1, 3 & 4). Its jseems strange that there is still a sign indicating where to go for P2 (but only from P1), you would think they would have removed it or blanked it out once the platform had been removed.

The platform and track haven't been in use since 1997, im surprised they haven't renumbered the platforms yet!

One stop away, Norwood Junction has 6 platforms, but has a severe lack of Platform 2.

From my first-hand observations, Aldershot looks like it once had a Platform IV...Which was presumably stolen by Beeching in the late 70's.

Also; Farnborough Main shows signs of having at least two more platforms than current (Where the car-park is now located), and that's assuming there's never been an "island" there serving the fast roads. :)

Bristol Temple Meads also has a Platform 2 that sees no passenger use.

Taunton has a Platform 1 that also has no passenger use.

Although the platforms are clearly present and presumably operational (at least in the latter case anyway), Platforms 1 and 5 at Salisbury are not shown to be Platforms 1 and 5. 5 can be used to stable trains (as seen with a 158 earlier, for instance), but 1 looks derelict.

There is a platform 1 there, it just hasn't got any track in it ans so isn't signed, and I thinlk its fenced off.

Platform 1 doesn't have track circuits and thus can't be used for passenger services (apparently). Platform 5 could be used in theory but there's no reason why it would be used as it really faces the wrong way.
