Last summer I moved to Bulkington on the WCML just south of Nuneaton. The original station was shut in 1932 (according to Wikipedia).
With hundreds of new homes for planned for the village (which I’m in favour of), would the station be a candidate for reopening when HS2 takes London to Manchester, Liverpool and Scotland services away from the WCML in the Trent Valley.
After the homes are built the village will be a similar size to Atherstone further up the line.
Are there any other candidates for reopening once the long distance offering has migrated onto HS2?
What is the likely service pattern in the Trent valley post HS2?
