And I believe I see Bournemouth above the majority of Portsmouth Line stations Paul... only station that is above is Portsmouth & Southsea.... ;)

Oh, and Waterloo at the top. Cashing in.

Hmm by my reckoning Portsmouth and Southsea alone has 160% of the traffic of Bournemouth.

Portsmouth Stns (P& S, Harbour & Fratton) total 5,095,139 (plus a further 222,144 to the IOW) compared to Bournemouths 2,120,747

Bournemouths biggest "suburban" stations seem to be Poole at 1,027,151 and Christchurch at a mere 357,361

these compare to Portsmouths "Suburbs' of Havant 1,943,317 (nearly as big as Bournemouth on its own) and Fareham 1,301064.

Looking further up the line I cant find any equivalent of Guildfords 6.6m anywhere on the bournemouth Line.

Guildford is an outer suburban station and is not completely on the PDL.

By that sense, Basingstoke is similar.

This is the kind of useful data we'll lose next time round thanks to FGW's new fares structure on the Severn Beach Line which involves issuing tickets to/from zones rather than individual stations.

My experience of the North Downs line is that passenger flows are pretty light east of Guildford. Major flow is passengers from West of Guildford to Gatwick Airport.
