--- old post above --- --- new post below ---You may also be asked questions about working as part of a team.
Also, make sure you know what the job role involves and about the company you will be working for. You will be asked about this!
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---Have you applied for a position?
Did you sit the assessments?
What stage are you at in the recruitment process?
Could be asked about working as part of a team, could also be asked questions related to working alone for a long time (as some station staff certainly do on certain shifts)
You can be asked anything really, once when going for a standard Despatcher role years ago I got asked a wide range of questions including:
"Describe a time when you came up with a new initiative that changed the way people do their work" (Seems irrelevant to the job to me but they still asked it!)
"What strengths and personal qualities do you have that are relevant to this role?" (always have your top 8 strengths ready in case they ask this question, which can appear for any role on the railway)
"What would you do if you have wheelchair / blind / deaf passengers requiring assistance to get on/off" (wheelchairs - put the ramp down, think the rest is obvious)
"Describe how you maintain a conscientous approach to your work" (Difficult)
"Describe something where you had to come up with a better way of doing it the second time" (not the most relevant of questions again)
"Describe a time you handled a request from a college" (again can be a really hard one this)
