Notice a few Northern Stations with Spelling Mistakes in signs including one at my local station of Orrell which has a sign saying Kirby instead of Kirkby as these are new signs who cocked up tfgm network rail or someone else?
I think the signs at Ince and Elton and Stanlow and Thornton still say "This Platform for Hooton and Chester change at Hooton for Liverpool" despite the direct Hooton service ending in 1994.
who cocked up tfgm network rail or someone else?
Burton-on-Trent station serves the town of Burton upon Trent, the correct way to spell the town's name has upon all in lower case and no hyphens.
I remember seeing in a local newspaper report circa 1998 that Connex had messed up when installing new Connex-liveried signage at Ifield ... all the signs were misspelled "Eyefield"!

It was only quite recently that the station of Walton-on-Naze was renamed so that it shared the name of the town it serves, Walton-on-the-Naze.
