There is, the Three Guineas, though you won't buy a pint in there for that. It already had a mention in post 13.

Access is only from outside the gateline, so if changing trains there it's sometimes necessary to ask for manual ticket checks to get out and back in.

It's a Fullers pub, beer and food are decent but pricey.

I normally prefer to take the few minutes walk to the Hope Tap, which usually has Windsor and Eton beers at around a third of that!

Not forgetting the Mad Bishop and Bear, another Fuller's pub upstairs at Paddington. Used to be decent for a pint or two before boarding the Down Midnight.

About the only reason I can think of for visiting Cleethorpes.

Although well outside the station, Willy's Pub and Brewery is very good for food and cheap good quality beer.

Stalybridge is my all time favourite station pub.

I haven't been in there since 1982!
Passed it a few times.
Planning a NW rover soon, seen the Northern over 55s one, includes Stalybridge. Might be a refreshment stop!

It's called the Station Inn, and was in the Good Beer Guide a few years back. The other Porthmadog station also has a pub, in the form of the GBG listed Spooner's Bar.

Yes, it's a strange one. Always seemed busy when I dipped in there of an evening. Rents too high perhaps.

There's plenty of space on Huddersfield platform. I suspect the lack of platform seating is due to over-zelous regulation.

The Whistle Stop micropub on Grantham platform. Very good when I visited last year whilst waiting for my connection to Nottingham.

Met an absolute lovely lass in there a few years ago. We made eye contact as I entered and she smiled. She was all eyes as I got my drink then invited me to join her at her table.
For some reason I rather gruffly said "No thanks I've only got a few minutes anyway" .

One relatively new addition -- there's now (finally) somewhere to get a pint within spitting distance of Coventry station. It used to be a five min walk to the Litten Tree down the road but that closed down last year. Now, there's a Hotel Indigo directly opposite the entrance to Cov station. Not the cheapest, but a useful addition, and a relatively peaceful bar on the right as you walk in.

That closed down in 2011 (I think) and was demolished a few years later to make way for the new station building.
