Lowestoft is the only one with an odd number of platforms.

Although New St has an odd no really as 4c isn't part of 4 - it's completely seperate.

Didn't know that, but it's what I wanted.

Waverley doesn't have a low level station (or doesn't have trains on 2 levels to be more accurate)

Hanborough's three-letter code does not reflect its current name (but rather its former name), whereas the others do?

I thought there was a rule that we had to specify what type of odd one out we were looking for.

Hanborough is the only one not situated on a 'dead end' branch line for passenger services.

Nope

Think historical names

The odd one out was Carbis Bay, all the others have had their name changed at some point: Bicester Town was Bicester London Road, Falmouth Town was The Dell and Hanborough was once Handborough.

Altrincham, Warrington Bank Quay, Manchester Airport, Clapham Junction. Your theme is announcements.

Clapham Junction announcements are voiced by Phil Sayer but the others do not.

Clapham Junction has more than 1 announcer, with announcements divided between the two voices; the others do not?

I'm going to give a second clue, the announcements I refered to are not at the stations in question.

I'll give one further clue.
The other three stations are linked by the following three: Crewe, Chester, Manchester Picc

Clapham Junction, the only one not announced change here for buses to Crewe, Chester and Manchester Piccadilly?

I give up. The reason that Clapham is the odd one out is that no service is announced X via Clapham Junction.
Services departing Manchester Piccadilly at XX17 for Chester are announced as 'Chester, via Altrincham'
Services departing Manchester Piccadilly at XX46 for Crewe are announced as 'Crewe, via Manchester Airport'
Services departing Manchester Piccadilly at XX50 for Chester are announced as 'Chester, via Warrington Bank Quay' (Evenings only)

Barnsley is the only one still on its original site, the other 3 have all moved slightly.
